Kindergarten Program
Our Kindergarten program, available in the afternoon or as a full-day option, offers a comprehensive curriculum focusing on reading, math, science, and language. We help students develop their reading skills and reasoning skills. The Kindergarten program follows a hybrid Montessori model integrating materials from Abeka Books, Superkids, and Go Math. Many of these resources seamlessly transition into our elementary program, providing continuity in the learning journey.
In our Kindergarten classrooms, tailored to meet the unique needs of each student, a diverse array of materials caters to varying age groups and abilities. For those who have already experienced our preschool program, the curriculum often introduces first and second-grade material. By the end of the school year, our Kindergarteners demonstrate the ability to read, engage in journal writing, and successfully complete projects, reflecting the effectiveness of our holistic approach.

As students transition from preschool to kindergarten, their exploration of Christianity deepens in our curriculum. Building upon their foundation, kindergarteners not only engage with Bible stories but also memorize verses, learning to connect these narratives to their daily lives. The curriculum expands to include a deeper understanding of Coptic feasts, the significance of the Lord's Prayer, and visits to the church, fostering a comprehensive comprehension of God's love and nurturing the growth of faith. In kindergarten, students advance their Christian education by delving into reading Christian texts and participating in more advanced Christian projects, allowing for a holistic and enriched spiritual development.

Our kindergarten math curriculum is designed to foster advanced learning, providing students with a solid foundation in various mathematical concepts. We cover double-digit subtraction, introduce greater than and less than symbols, and delve into fractions. Using engaging methods like the Montessori snake game and stamp game, students grasp the intricacies of exchanging tens and ones.
Additionally, our curriculum teaches sequencing exercises and teaching time comprehension in 15-minute intervals. We introduce the concept of money, teaching the values of dimes, pennies, quarters, and nickels, and even incorporate addition with money into our enriching program. Through this comprehensive approach, our kindergarteners not only acquire essential mathematical skills but also thrive in a stimulating and advanced learning environment.
