Christian Education
At St. Mark Christian Montessori, we place Christ at the core of our educational philosophy. Our religious curriculum cultivates a personal relationship with Christ through daily Bible study, memorization, and creative projects, fostering spiritual growth and helpings students discern truth and beauty through their focus on the Creator and His creation.
As one of the few Orthodox Christian schools in the State of Illinois, we offer a unique educational environment deeply rooted in our faith, providing a comprehensive education aligned with Orthodox teachings. Our philosophy is to provide a holistic education that will nurture the children in a community and an experience that encompasses the vibrant Orthodox Tradition on a daily basis.

Our elementary curriculum is designed to prioritize the development of a personal relationship with God. Students cultivate a daily habit of in-depth Bible study, memorize passages, psalms, and the Nicene Creed. They undertake creative projects, such as comprehensive reports on saints, and explore the intricate details of icons. The curriculum also delves into the rich traditions of the Coptic Church’s feasts and celebrations, enhancing students' spiritual experience with monthly liturgy attendance.
